SUBMIT YOUR WORK: We feature a selection of students' work on our website that addresses ethical issues. If you would like us to feature your work please send us an email with your contact details, information about the piece and an image. Please go to the images section to see the work currently being displayed.



INTERNS: We are currently looking for interns from December 2009 - May 2010. Internships are for a minimum for 3 weeks and maximum of 3 months and can be for 2 - 4 days a week. Our internships are an exciting opportunity for students or graduates to gain an in-depth understanding of the global garment industry and how to approach socially responsible sourcing within it. The position is based in our office in Bristol.

VOLUNTEERS: There are a number of voluntary roles available with FEI that can be carried out both remotely and also from the Bristol office.  The roles available will depend on your skills and experience and what you would like to learn / develop skills and experience in.  Some of the current specific tasks available to a volunteer are:

designing a project poster and leaflet for display in fashion colleges to inform students and tutors about the project; writing and researching for the website; editing film footage of interviews; developing a database of project contacts; organising FEI participation in events such as London Fashion Week; helping to organise a tour of colleges for a visiting garment worker representatives.

FUNDRAISE FOR FEI

Are you interested in doing some fundraising for the project? We are always looking for extra money so we can support more students and tutors who have an interest in ethical fashion. For more information follow this link

STEERING GROUP

The steering group guides and supports the FEI project and is made up of tutors and students of fashion-related courses from across the UK. The group meets 3 times a year. It guides the project in the appropriate direction, evaluates the project so far and provides tutors and students with the valuable opportunity to network with people from other universities who have an interest in ethical issues within the fashion industry. We are always looking for tutors who might be interested in joining the steering group. If you are interested in attending the meeting and learning more about the project/and or being on the steering group please contact us and register your interest. If tutors need it, we are able to offer half-day tutor release costs to some universities to cover the cost of the tutors' time.

We encourage each university to have a student representative at steering group meetings. We cover all reasonable travel costs for students attending steering group meetings.
