Goodone Internship

Goodone create innovative quality one-off clothing.  Designs are repeated but every item produced is always different from the next, as each garment is made from a unique combination of hand-picked recycled fabrics.  This means that they are effectively mass-producing the one-off.

Goodone are looking for reliable and enthusiastic placement student/s to work with them in their studio in Hackney, London from now until December 2007 for 3 days a week.

Goodone aims to build a reputable brand which is internationally recognized for pioneering the design and production of recycled clothing and instigate a positive change within the fashion industry. All pieces are made using a hand-picked combination of recycled fabrics and manufactured in the goodone studio in Hackney, East London. The clothes are available to buy online from stockists in Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton and London as well as online at www.goodone.co.uk

As well as assisting us with general studio duties students would also be given the opportunity to help source fabrics, develop designs for production, and research the current market and trends. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with an up and coming fashion label through which you would gain invaluable insight into what it's like to start-up a fashion business and even have the opportunity to input your own ideas.

Students with basic sewing skills and experience of design and pattern-cutting would be preferable but not strictly necessary.

The position is unpaid but travel expenses would be covered.

Please contact Phoebe Emerson at info@goodone.co.uk with a copy of your CV as well as a covering letter outlining what you'd hope to gain from undertaking a placement at goodone as well as detailing your availability.
