FILM CLIP: Sweatshops - exploitation or saviour?
A short film by True Tube that focuses on poor working conditions in the fashion industry. The film considers whether exploitation is an inevitable element of a countries development and discusses how the industry could be managed differently so that the human rights of people are respected.
TrueTube is an activity of CTVC a registered charity. CTVC makes ethical radio and television programmes for all the major UK broadcasters including BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and receives additional funding for non-profit activities such as TrueTube from the Rank Foundation and the Garfield Weston Foundation. The idea is to provide young people and their educators with the information they need to ask themselves and others questions and to make up their own minds.
