Multi-stakeholder Initiatives

Ethical Trading Initiative

"An alliance of companies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and trade union organisations. We exist to promote and improve the implementation of corporate codes of practice which cover supply chain working conditions. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that the working conditions of workers producing for the UK market meet or exceed international labour standards."

MFA Forum

"Established in early 2004 in response to growing anticipation throughout the garment and textile industry that the phase-out of quotas would lead to major changes in the sourcing of garments, and potentially negative consequences for countries that had come to rely on garments exports."

Fair Wear Foundation

"Promotes good labour conditions in the garment industry. The foundation verifies that member companies work to enhance labour conditions in the factories all around the world where they source their garments."

Jo-In

"A collaborative effort between six organizations, each involved in the effort to improve labour standards in global supply chains through the implementation and/or enforcement of codes of conduct."
